Hello and welcome to Quiet Baking Day!
I bet you’re wondering who I am and why we’re here, right?
Who I am
Well, I’m Theresa, a lover of all baked goods. A few other things about me – I have a degree in graphic design, which means I don’t actually work in the design field. I’m constantly on the hunt for the best chai latte (I have found it in North Carolina. However, they don’t ship, so the quest continues). I have had bangs since college and despite several attempts to grow them out, I simply cannot let go of them. And I dream of running a coffee cart on my farm in England.

Why we’re here
One other noteworthy fact is that I also attended culinary school. At the ripe old age of 30, I piled back into class with a bunch of teenagers, and got to know the ins and outs of baking. Quickly, I realized what I loved about baking was a relaxation and escape it allowed me. However, commercial baking for a salary just didn’t have the same appeal.
Which brings us to Quiet Baking Day. When I find myself thinking, “Boy, I could really go for just a quiet baking day”, I know I need to reset and recenter my thoughts. Because baking is truly therapeutic for me. When you bake, you can focus on the ingredients, methods, tastes and smells of creating something delicious. If you’re like me, you can throw on a true crime podcast or junky reality TV binge, and create a place of calm.
These are the recipes I go to when I need that “quiet baking day”.
I hope you enjoy the bakes I share with you on this passion blog. If you are interested in a recipe or photography collaboration, you can reach me on my Work with Me page.
